Ceremonial cacao is made from heirloom cacao beans, processed with intention, respect, and care throughout the supply chain. It is minimally processed, unadulterated, pure cacao paste made to support well-being, energy, and connection—perfect for rituals or daily nourishment.

 Our cacao is sourced from the now known birthplace of the original wild strains of cacao—the High Amazon basin—as well as other nearby and downstream cacao-growing regions. We work directly with small family farmers and indigenous communities that preserve wild, ancestral strains of cacao.

We are explorers and venture out to very specific areas where the original wild strains are known to have come from. We start by finding farms that have native and unique populations of cacao, and provide technical assistance to farmers so they can harvest, ferment, and dry beans under our specific protocols in order to preserve the unique flavors that the beans provide. We also partner with select 3rd party processors that can process beans according to our strict quality and food safety specifications, which we have developed over 10 years of experience. We focus on ethical sourcing, sustainability, small-batch production, and treating our customers like family—not just order numbers.

Cacao Adventures is proudly based in North San Diego County, California, USA. However, we work directly with farming communities in Peru, where ancient cacao thrives. We work with select  communities that cultivate heirloom cacao using sustainable and respectful methods that honor the plant’s sacred origins.

Our Economy shipping is usually Ground Saver Shipping, it can take up to 5 days to arrive but it usually arrives in 3 days average.
