How pricing works
We price each project based on your form, not a static rate card. After you share your vision, we look at cacao market conditions, origin and quality, batch size, packaging needs, and any R&D involved. Because these elements shift and every collaboration is different, we don’t publish fixed prices. Instead, we share a transparent proposal so you can see how everything comes together in the final cost.

Frequently asked question
Ceremonial grade cacao is whole-bean cacao paste made from carefully selected heirloom varieties, minimally processed to preserve its natural fats, flavor, and beneficial compounds. It’s stone-ground, kept at gentle temperatures, and contains no added sugar, dairy, or emulsifiers.
"Regular" cacao often refers to cocoa powder or conventional chocolate. Cocoa powder is usually pressed to remove much of the cacao butter and may be alkalized or blended from multiple origins. Most chocolate products also include sugar, dairy, and other ingredients, and are designed primarily for taste and shelf stability, not for intentional ritual.
Our ceremonial cacao is crafted for mindful drinking and ceremony—rooted in origin, transparency, and respect for the plant—while still being delicious and versatile in everyday use.
We work directly with small-scale farmers in Peru, primarily in the High-Amazon Basin and select neighboring regions such as the Sacred Valley and the Tropical Desert microclimate.
Our sourcing is:
- Single-origin and traceable – you always know which region your cacao comes from.
- Relationship-based – we partner long term with producers who use traditional, sustainable practices.
- Fairly compensated – we prioritize pricing that honors the labor, knowledge, and ecosystems behind each harvest.
This origin-led approach lets you taste the character of specific landscapes while supporting the communities who steward this cacao.
We don’t currently offer free samples. We’re a small, family-run business working directly with farmers, and each batch of cacao represents a lot of care and cost along the way.
Instead of samples, we try to support you in other ways:
- Transparent information – we share detailed origin, process, and ingredient info so you know exactly what you’re bringing into your shop or café.
- Guidance on fit – tell us a bit about your concept and menu, and we’ll help you decide whether ceremonial cacao, chocolate bars, or both make sense.
- Thoughtful first order – we can suggest a small, low-risk opening order so you can test Cacao Adventures with your community before scaling up.
If you’re curious about carrying our cacao, reach out through the Wholesale page and we’ll walk you through options that respect both your budget and ours.
