What's Inside

  • 100% cacao
  • No additives
  • No emulsifiers
  • No alkalization

Why This Matters

Every batch begins at origin, not in a lab. Cacao grows in living ecosystems, shaped by soil, climate, and time. Elements like cadmium can naturally occur in these environments — especially in regions where cacao has grown for generations. What matters is not avoiding nature, but understanding it. We source carefully, test every lot, and work closely with producers to ensure what reaches you is both pure and intentional.

Honest Transparency & Limitations

Cacao is not a manufactured product - it’s a living one.

That means variability is part of its nature.

Trace elements like cadmium and lead can be present in cacao because of the soil where it grows. This is not unique to cacao — many whole foods carry trace amounts shaped by their environment.

What makes the difference is how cacao is sourced, selected, and verified.

Global standards, like those in the European Union, set clear limits to ensure safety. We use these as reference points, but go further — reviewing each lot individually, not just relying on averages.

Our role is not to remove what is natural, but to choose with care, test with rigor, and share openly.

What we believe:

Transparency matters more than perfection.

Not all cacao is equal — origin, relationships, and process shape everything.

Clean Sourcing as the First Line of Defense

Purity doesn’t begin in a lab.

It begins in the forest, in the soil, and in the hands of those who grow and care for cacao. Every step at origin shapes what comes next.

Farmer Training

We work side by side with producers, sharing knowledge on fermentation, drying, and handling to protect both quality and purity.

Drying & Storage

Careful drying and proper storage are essential — not just for flavor, but for reducing unwanted contamination along the way.

Soil & Origin Selection

We choose regions and lots with intention, guided by experience, testing, and long-term relationships on the ground.

Why Purity Matters for Ceremonial Cacao

Ceremonial cacao is not just something you consume — it’s something you work with, often regularly and in meaningful amounts. That makes how it’s grown, handled, and tested especially important.

  • Supports long-term wellbeing
  • Reduces unnecessary exposure to contaminants
  • Reflects the integrity of sourcing and process
  • Builds trust between you and what you’re working with
